Nikunj Malik (born October 30 in Gurgaon, Delhi, India) is an Indian television actor. [1] made her stint in imagines TV`s reality show Swayamwar season 2's. Later she entered channel STAR One's Geet hui sabse parayi to play the role of Anwesha as a parallel lead on the show.
Nikunj Malik is a TV personality of Indian origin. She first shot to fame with her participation on the Indian reality wedding show called "Rahul Dulhaniya le Jayega", which was aired on NDTV Imagine on 1 February 2010. She ended up as one of the final three contestants on the show. [1] She was acting as the second female lead on the Star One show Geet hui sabse parayi as Anvesha a.k.a Any, Maan's spoilt baby sister.She is now playing the role Maya in one of the leading shows of star plus - Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai.
Nikunj was born in Faridabad, Haryana to an engineer father and a home-maker mother. She completed her education from DAV Public School Faridabad and MVN School Faridabad. A science student, Nikunj always aspired to study medicine before a chance entrance exam for NIFT got her a seat in the National Institute of Fashion Technology, a premiere institute for Fashion studies in the country. After the completion of her 4-yr B.Des course in Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories, Nikunj went on to study Management from NIFT, a 2-yr PG course offered at NIFT Delhi.
Destiny had other plans for her and shortly after she started working for an export house in Faridabad as designer, she auditioned for the chance to become a contestant in the popular Indian reality show called Swayamvar Season2 on NDTV Imagine, also known as "Rahul Dulhaniya le jayega". The show involved the lead protagonist Rahul Mahajan, son of late BJP MP Mr. Pramod Mahajan, looking for a life partner amongst the 16 contestants. Nikunj ended up on the show as one of the final three contenders to be married to Rahul Mahajan. The show gave Nikunj fame and recognition amongst Indian television viewers and paved way for more opportunities. Nikunj is currently playing the role of Anvesha on the daily soap "Geet huyi sabse parayi" on Star One.
Early life and background
Born to an engineer father and a Sanskrit postgraduate mother, was the first child in the family. was born in Gurgaon, spent some time in Chandigarh after that. Later the family moved and settled down in Faridabad the formative years there. Nikunj has a younger brother, Abhigyan. He is into film direction. Nikunj always wanted to become a doctor. She also cleared medical school through CPMT Nikunj did her schooling from DAV Public School. And later did her high schooling from MVN Sr sec. 11th, 12th. She completed her graduation from NIFT (National institute of fashion technology) Chennai and did specialization in Footwear & Bags designing. She also did fashion business management from NIFT (National institute of fashion technology) New Delhi. She cleared the very prestigious CAT in 2008 with 97 percentile and got an invitation from IIM Ahmedabad for a Ph.D in marketing. Declined it because of very long duration of the course. She has also designed for leading Brands like Tommy Hilfiger accessories, Guess, Swiss Gear, Lee Cooper etc. Nikunj was a very reserved and shy as a child; she was really good with academics and high on extra curricular activities, very good at painting... love sketching portraits. Even though after getting selected for swayamwar and getting fame on television she is still active in design field. Freelance as and when gets time. Nikunj enjoys reading and cooking, is an excellent cook. Loves cooking for family and close friends, also loves animals. Always has pets at home. Loves to play with them.
