Xerez Club Deportivo are a Spanish football team from Jerez, in Cádiz province, Andalusia. Founded on September 24 1947, they currently play in the Segunda División.
They play in blue shirts and white shorts. Home stadium is the Municipal de Chapin that seats 18,435 spectators. This stadium was inaugurated on July 10, 1988, replacing the old Estadio Domecq. Real Madrid were the first opponents there in a friendly.
Xerez have only been able to maintain more than one consecutive season in the Segunda A on two occasions, the last being in the middle of the 1980s. Besides this level, Xerez have spent most of their history in the Segunda B and the Tercera.
More recently, Xerez have been competing near the top of the Segunda División and are making enhancements to their stadium in the hopes of being able to make it to the Primera.
