Oyama is also the name of the Field-Marshal and Prince Oyama, commander of the Japanese forces in the Battle of Mukden.


Oyama (小山市; -shi) is a city located in Tochigi, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 157,292 and the density of 916.57 persons per km&sup2. The total area is 171.61 km².

The city was founded on March 31, 1954.
