Joe Absolom (born 16 December 1978) is a British actor best known for playing Matthew Rose in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders.

He joined the show in 1997 and his main claim to fame was in the Saskia Duncan murder storyline in 1999 when his character Matthew was wrongly imprisoned for the murder by the real culprit Steve Owen.
