Romain Amalfitano (born 27 August 1989 in Nice) is a French footballer who plays for French club Reims in Ligue 2. He plays as an attacking midfielder and is the younger brother of Morgan Amalfitano who currently plays for Marseille.[1] The younger Amalfitano previously played for Châteauroux and Evian before joining his current club on a two-year contract.[2] On Friday 24th February 2012, according to French local newspapers, Amalfitano was reported to sign a pre-season contract with Newcastle United.
