Stay+, Stay Positive or Stay Plus (formerly Christian AIDS) is an electronic music and video duo presumed to be based in Manchester. They are known for releasing music videos with controversial themes and a caustic humour. They also maintain an element of anonymity around their work, choosing to release only limited press shots, interviews and details about members. One example saw a balloonist take their place for a Radio 1 interview.[1] They list David Lynch and Modeselektor among their inspirations.
Their video for "Young Luv" features BBC coverage of the 2011 Royal Wedding with Kate removed from the proceedings due to being trapped in a car.[2]
Name controversy
The collective were forced to change their name after a cease and desist letter from the Christian Aid charity.[3] Stay Positive was the name of their first release [4].
