The Pirveli Liga is the Georgian First League, which serves as the second division of professional football in Georgia.
History
The Georgian First League was organized in 1990. Today it is contested in a single group, in the past there were seasons with separate Eastern and Western groups.
Structure and league system
In Georgian First League playing 20 clubs. As the second division of professional football in Georgia, the champion and runner-up of the Pirveli Liga are promoted to the Umaglesi Liga, the Georgian Top League.
