Madhusudan Kela

Madhusudan Kela is the Chief Investment Strategist at Reliance Capital.[1] His last assignment was with Reliance Capital Asset Management as Head - Equity Investments.

Beginning

Madhusudan Kela grew up in Kurud, Chattisgarh.[1]

He completed Masters in Management Studies in 1991 from K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR), Mumbai. Thereafter he did equity research at CIFCO and SSKI (Sharekhan).[2]

In 1994, he joined Motilal Oswal to start their institutional desk before moving to UBS in 1996. He joined Reliance Mutual Fund in 2001.[2]

He has been instrumental in making reliance mutual fund, as the biggest mutual fund in India. He has been referred as the "Rock Star" of capital markets.
