Infinifilm, first introduced in 2001, is New Line Cinema's brand of specialized DVDs, containing a feature to notify viewers of special features on the disc applicable to the scene currently playing, such as interviews, behind-the-scenes footage or deleted scenes. If the user chooses to watch one of these special features, the movie will be paused and the special feature will then be played. After that the user will be returned to the point in the movie where they left off.
As of 2011, the most recent Infinifilm DVD release was A Nightmare on Elm Street in 2006. Many of the label's films that New Line ported to Blu-ray feature the original Infinifilm content rebranded as "Focus Points." While New Line has yet to make an official statement on the status of the Infinifilm label, it generally appears to have been abandoned.
