Stephen Reynolds (born 11 June 1992, in Rothesay) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a striker. He currently plays for St. Johnstone.

Career

Reynolds was the most prolific striker for his youth team Rothesay Brandane, for 3 seasons in a row. He was well known for his heading ability and his finishing. He was often compared to Kris Boyd for his goalscoring record.

Reynolds was signed by St. Johnstone in the summer of 2008 from the Gleniffer Thistle youth team. In his first season with his new club, he scored over 40 goals in the under-19 team.[1] He made his senior debut for St. Johnstone on 11 May 2009, in the 4–0 victory away at Airdrie United.[2]

In November 2009, Reynolds was signed on a one-month emergency loan by Ayr United.[3] He joined Ayr for a second loan spell, this time 6 months, at the start of the 2010/11 season.

On 7 July 2011, Reynolds signed on loan to Scottish First Division club Raith Rovers.[4]

On 5 January 2012, Reynolds returned to St. Johnstone following the expiration of his loan deal.[5]
