Wales' Cup Winners
Wales' Cup winners have entered the competition in the Second Qualifying round in the last few seasons and I can see no evidence from Uefa or Bert Kassies' excellent site to suggest this has changed — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blogdroed (talk • contribs) 12:26, 16 April 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned references in 2012–13 UEFA Europa League
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2012–13 UEFA Europa League's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "regulations":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 03:35, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Good idea?
Was it a good idea to fill in a list of the qualificants if it's not sure yet who qualifies? When does the Uefa actually decided over the new regulations? --134.176.205.212 (talk) 13:49, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well technically it is a bit of crystal-balling somewhat, but based on the lack of any significant signs of change from UEFA I still think it's useful information to display on the page. The new Regs were confirmed by UEFA at a meeting a few weeks ago but they havent been published yet. I think if there were big enough changes to the access list to make this info irrelevant, we would have heard about them. At the moment I think the yellow message box suffices in informing users that it isn't confirmed yet.
- Although the rankings of the countries which have been filled-in is certain. Aheyfromhome (talk) 14:37, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
How many teams?
How to explain the following error in the mount of teams:
1st qual.round: 54 clubs = 27 winners
2nd qual.round: 53 clubs + 27 = 40 winners
3rd qual.round: 30 clubs + 40 = 35 winners
round play-off: 33 clubs + 35 = 34 winners
But in the group stage: 31 winners from the play-off round. Where are 3 clubs???

- That was a preeliminary list, I think now you shouldn't have those problems anymore:
- 1st qr: 78 clubs = 39 winners
- 2nd qr: 80 clubs (41 new entries) = 40 winners
- 3rd qr: 58 clubs (18 new entries) = 29 winners
- PO: 62 clubs (33 new entries of which 15 from champions league) = 31 winners
- 1st qr: 78 clubs = 39 winners
- There is still one minor variable included and that is the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League winner since it has a guaranted spot in the group stage if it doesn't reach it through it's domestic league or doesn't reach the champions league. AnelZukic (talk) 05:03, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

cup winners spot
What happens to the highest placed club in the league in the case that the both (national) cup final participants are qualified for the Champions League[like it is most likely to become in Germany]? Is the fourth/fifth qualified for the Group stage then? --Edroeh (talk) 22:59, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yes. The best league placing gets the group spot, and everybody else moves up one. Aheyfromhome (talk) 16:46, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- As Germany has no League Cup, two of the three Euro League qualified teams will come from the Bundesliga. If both teams in the Cup final are already qualified either for EL (directly into the group stage by loosing their Champions League Play Off) or CL the vacant space of the cup winner will add to the Bundesliga. Then, the 5th team in the Bundesliga will go to the group stage (instead of playing the play off), the 6th team will play the play off (instead of round 3), and the previously not qualified 7th will enter 3rd qualification round. Actually, it looks like this case will happen in Germany. However, even with the 6 days to go and therefore 18 points to play for and a lead of 20 points at least for both finalists, a theoretically malus in points (e.g. spoken out due to license difficulties or whatsoever) makes this aspect only final, when the final results of the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal will be announced officially and definetively) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.156.106.166 (talk) 03:44, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
