The Bull & Bear is an editorially anonymous newspaper published by the Management Undergraduate Society of McGill University. Although headquartered at the Bronfman building on Sherbrooke Street West, the paper is read campus-wide and has writers and contributors from across the university's many faculties and departments.

Though The Bull & Bear is published in print on a monthly basis, its website is frequently updated and it is through the website that most readers access the paper's articles.

In contrast to other campus publications, it is run exclusively by a staff of student volunteers. It focuses on objective reporting except in its opinion section that frequently features the viewpoints of the right and centre right student population. While renowned for embracing the viewpoints of its readers instead of provoking them, it has seen its share of controversy. For example, it was initially lauded for producing the informative 2012 Sex Survey, an examination of students' lifestyle choices. However, an opinionated post-survey article published by one of its first year writers caused considerable backlash that threatened to overshadow the survey's initial success.

History

The Bull & Bear was founded in 2003 by students of the Management Undergraduate Society. Most recently, the publication was quoted on Renren, as its international reach beyond McGill University has expanded. It is currently the fastest growing publication on campus.
