He's considered a sex symbol on this show.[3][4] He has been compared to season 1 winner Alexander Klaws.[4] He's considered to be Dieter Bohlen's favourite to win.[5] Former DSDS candidate Thomas Karaoglan was critical of Luca because of Luca's Bravo photoshoot because Karaoglan thought that Luca's shirtless photo shoot only appealed to the female voters and not the male voters.[5] He won season 9 with 53,85% of the vote.[1]
