Flordell Hills is a city located in St. Louis County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 931.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²). 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.0 km² (0.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.00% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 931 people, 367 households, and 245 families residing in the city. The population density is 3,267.8/km² (8,111.7/mi²). There are 396 housing units at an average density of 1,390.0 persons/km² (3,450.3 persons/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 16.86% White, 82.06% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.21% from other races, and 0.86% from two or more races. 0.54% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 367 households out of which 37.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 26.7% are married couples living together, 35.1% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 33.0% are non-families. 27.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.54 and the average family size is 3.10.

In the city the population is spread out with 31.0% under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 19.5% from 45 to 64, and 7.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 32 years. For every 100 females there are 78.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 70.3 males.
