I just wonder how some guys are so quick in adding racing results (which source code is quite complex) without any templates. Ibicdlcod (talk) 13:36, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Does Maldonado have a pole position?
Interesting question regarding whether articles should mark Maldonado as having the pole position and bold the race name on his lines. Someone already did that. But I have to disagree: Maldonado did not get a pole position, but he does have grid position 1.
Why? At the 2012 Chinese GP Lewis Hamilton was known to get a penalty even before the qualification had started. He finished second, went to the press conference etc. So his qualification position was 2nd, grid position 7th. It does not give anyone a pole position, I believe. But let's see do official F1 statistics give Maldonado a pole position. --Pudeo' 17:57, 12 May 2012 (
Hamilton didn't get pole position because he was EXCLUDED from qualify and not penalised.
