Zam Zam Cola is a cola-flavouredsoft drink produced in Iran. It is popular in parts of the Middle East, where people both enjoy soft drinks and appreciate alternatives to U.S. brands such as Pepsi and Coca-Cola for political reasons. It is also sold in Europe.
The product's name is a nod to the sacred Well of Zamzam, near the Islamic holy city of Makkah (Mecca), where tradition has it that Hagar drew water for her son Ishmael.
