Leandra Medine is a fashion writer and the founder of the blog Man Repeller. [1] Medine founded Man Repeller, a blog dedicated to humorously chronicling trends women love and men hate in 2010. It currently receives over 1.7 million page views per month. [2] She has done several collaborations with designers including two jewelry collections with New York label, Dannijo, the first in 2011 [3] and the second in 2012. [4] She designed a trench coat for Gryphon that was sold at Bergdorf Goodman and on Shopbop, [5] a pair of shoes for Del Toro, [6] and a pair of shoes for SIX London. [7] She coined the term "Arm Party" that would describe the act of piling bracelets onto ones wrist which lead to a collaboration with jewelry e-commerce site BaubleBar that sold over 500 sets of bracelets that Medine curated for shoppers. [8] Medine has worked alongside Barney's Creative Ambassador Simon Doonan [9] as well as designers such as Christian Louboutin, Michael Kors, Rachel Roy, Brian Atwood and brands like Bulgari, Valentino and Ferragamo. She styled window displays in Bloomingdale's alongside Tibi in 2011 [10] and at Saks alongside Christian Louboutin in celebration of his 40th anniversary. [11] She has spoken on several panels including one at the Metropolitan Museum of Art alongside Lynn Yaeger and Scott Schuman that aimed to redefine the word "chic." [12] Medine has guest written for publications such as New York Magazine, Lucky Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, the New York Post, Grazia and Glamour. [13] In late 2010, The New York Times profiled her and it appeared in a Thursday issue of Styles. [14] In 2011 she won the Bloglovin' award for Most Original Blogger [15] and in 2012 she won the Bloglovin' award for Blog of the Year. [16]
