File:Mario yoshi.jpg

I removed the speedy deletion tag at File:Mario yoshi.jpg, because it is hosted at Wikimedia Commons, not at Wikipedia. Wikipedia just mirrors images from Commons, so they have the same file name. You were correct in the nomination, it was just in the right place. I have nominated it for deletion there.--kelapstick(bainuu) 09:37, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Junebud, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Action, Swedish and 3D (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:08, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Never use planespotters for orders

Your China Eastern Airlines edits were wrong: Planespotters not listing all orders (far future orders not listed). Airbus Orders and Deliveries is definite source for Airbus orders. விமான (talk) 21:29, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Yogarate

Hi Androids101. This did not meet criteria for speedy deletion, but I've converted it to a proposed deletion. Regards, Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 04:58, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Follow-up on your edit

In this edit, you've indicated that you were going to respond to my concerns on the talk page so we could come a consensus. I've no wish to edit war and hope we'll be able to follow WP:BRD, thus I am hoping to see your comments shortly so we can engage in proper discussion. Salvidrim! 07:41, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Rockett's Tricky Decision

Hello Androids101. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Rockett's Tricky Decision, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply to software. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 00:11, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:BirdoMKWII.png

Thanks for uploading File:BirdoMKWII.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Yash A Patnaik

Hello Androids101. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Yash A Patnaik, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 05:12, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A7 only applies to real people. For fictional people you have to use PROD or AfD. But it is better in any case to suggest amerge with the article on the book whenever possible, or with a character list, or at the very least a redirect. DGG ( talk ) 04:00, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion in general

Speedy deletion is only for those type of things that fall within WP:CSD, and the criteria are interpreted narrowly and literally. for anything else, only Prod or AfD can be used. The reasons other things aren't included are discussed at great length in the archives of WT:CSD In particular, A7 applies only where there is no credible indication of significance or importance at all--it does not have to be actually notable. The reason for this is that if it has any potential, it may be possible to improve it sufficiently. f there is any reason to think that someone might reasonably have indicated it as important, In addition, WP:Deletion policy specifies that deletion is the last alternative--that it is preferable to use consider other solutions, including, rewriting, sourcing, expanding, merging, or redirecting.

Please pause in nominating articles for a while, and read carefully and in detail those two policy pages. When you proceed, check for every article that it does in fact meet the criteria, and that deletion is the best alternative.

Mom Futurama merge

There has been some discussion of your merge idea at Talk:Mom (Futurama). I would not object if you did this merge. If you wish to do so, here are the steps:

  1. Open both pages for editing (I would suggest opening one in each tab)
  2. Copy the material from Mom that you want to keep into List of recurring Futurama characters. Save with the edit summary Merge in Mom (Futurama)
  3. Replace the entire contents of Mom (Futurama) with #REDIRECT [[List of recurring Futurama characters]] {{R from merge}} and save with edit summary Redirect after merge to List of recurring Futurama characters
  4. At the top of Talk:Mom (Futurama), add {{merged-to|List of recurring Futurama characters|date of merge}}
  5. At the top of Talk:List of recurring Futurama characters, add {{merged-from|Mom (Futurama)|date of merge}}

If you take no action, I will simply remove the tags without comment in a couple weeks.

Contested deletion: Dr.R.Ganesh

This page should not be speedily deleted because... Article needs sources and a large reformat (which I have already brought to the creator's attention), but with a cursory examination/search and my limited knowledge of the subject I think it's outside the bounds of a speedy. --Human.v2.0 (talk) 10:03, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined

Latrodectus curacaviensis is a species of spider, therefore A7 would not apply, it is only about individual animials, i.e. an individual spider named Frank the Spider, or somebody's pet dog. It would have been more appropriate to look up what the article was trying to be written about (I could tell it was a spider by the description, even though it did not explicitly state as much), rather than nominating it with a no-context deletion tag. --kelapstick(bainuu) 23:12, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hold it, I'll develop Larry

And later Roger Wilco too, I think (maybe also some other classic adventure heroes). --Niemti (talk) 07:05, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

But that's later, because I'm leaving for a weekend, then might be busy later. Anyway, Guinness should be enough for now, I think. --Niemti (talk) 07:09, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also characters who should be redirected, as their Wikia-style articles have literally no sources or references whatsoever:

Just saying, because you did it with Rabbids. And yes, the "rv v" person is involved with them all. --Niemti (talk) 09:42, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

But hey, Scissorman is actually pretty well referenced. (But it needs to be rewritten.) --Niemti (talk) 09:45, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cosmetic changes to Template:Mario franchise

I heartily recommend reverting yourself and discussing them first. It is highly uncommon for non-default color themes to be accepted (at all). I for one think it's bad. ;)

The other thing is the collapse -- no need to hardcode-collapse it, NavBoxes auto-collapse when there's more than two on any page. :) Salvidrim! 04:36, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done. :) CyanGardevoir 04:38, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, I'm trying to think about it, and I cannot recall even a single instance where there was consensus to have a color-customized NavBox in mainspace. :/ Salvidrim! 04:42, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No really - there actually are quite a few. Basic example: Template:The Simpsons characters (thats the template which I got the idea of changing the color of the Mario franchise comes from). ;) CyanGardevoir 04:44, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, I don't see much discussion though. The color choices also feel much more... subdued. Probably bcause of the different sectioning style. Salvidrim! 05:02, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
