Darezhan Omirbaev (Template:Lang-kk, born 15 March 1958) is a Kazakhstani film director and screenwriter. He has directed nine films since 1982. His film Tueur à gages was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Un Certain Regard Prize.[1] His latest film Student competed in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.[2][3]
