A Platinum Jubilee is a celebration held to mark an anniversary. Among Commonwealth realms, it usually refers to a 70th year anniversary. For example, on 6 February 2022, Queen Elizabeth II could celebrate her Platinum Jubilee in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, and the rest of the Commonwealth realms. If she did, she would be 95 years old.

In South Asian usage, a "platinum jubilee" refers not to an anniversary, but the celebration of 70 weeks. For instance, in Pakistan and India, a platinum jubilee film is one shown in cinemas for 70 weeks or more. The success measure for a 'super hit film' is minimum six months release on its main cinema.[1][dead link]

The term is uncommon in the United States as the "Diamond Jubilee" is celebrated at 75 years (in reference to an event only).
