Hi Jeff!

How are you?

How's your job going? Still got the terrabyte thingy connected to Merkeylaw.com?

(Remember, denial is not a river in Africa)

Please go and read User_talk:Guanaco. This issue has been clarified by the admins and addressed. OK? Thanks. Waya sahoni 06:53, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Better late than never.. Jeff's admin friend has been desysopped. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Guanaco%2C_MarkSweep%2C_et_al --Jerry (Talk) 06:50, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is absolutely no question that it's you, Jeff.

And wtf was with this: http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Jeffrey_Vernon_Merkey&oldid=41295696

I'm sorry you are so confused and angry. Please stop vandalizing content and making accusations you know are false merely to protect that article for the SCOX group. Waya sahoni 07:15, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are too funny, Jeff. Vryl 09:19, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My Favourite Moment in my Previous Existence as Defender of the Wiki

Oh Jeff!

http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Bookofsecrets&direction=next&oldid=38436424 Quote: "send an email to tjarcher@comcast.net. I will get it this way."

Notice that the Admin and Tech emails match completely the alleged Merkey ancestor of Thomas Jefferson Archer"

Now, Waya Sahoni's first contributions to Wikipedia were on January 26 2006: http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=Waya_sahoni&offset=20060126085817&limit=50

Wolfmountaingroup.org is registered to Jeff Merkey: http://samspade.org/t/whois?a=wolfmountaingroup.org&server=whois.NetworkSolutions.com&_charset_=UTF-8&btnGo=Whois

So, to summarise:

It was known in October 2005 that tjarcher@comcast.net was the admin contact (since changed) for wolfmountaingroup.org, which is owned by Jeffrey V. Merkey.

Waya Sahoni's first posts to Wikipedia were in January 2006.

Waya Sahoni tells bookofsecrets to contact him on an email address used as the admin contact for a website owned by Jeff "Chief Scientist" Vernon Merkey (and the email address matches the name of Jeff Merkey's purported ancestor Thomas Jefferson Archer).

Still care to make the claim that you are not Jeff Vernon Merkey?

Too funny, Waya/Jeff-the-hypocrite.
Again, what about this: http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Jeffrey_Vernon_Merkey&oldid=41295696
Why is that not Vandalism? Not to mention Vanity Editing?

You moron. When? I haven't touched the page project tags since I wrote that. FALSE ALLEGATION JEFF! --Vryl 05:07, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Discussion reverted. Page Blanking by Waya/Jeff

He didn't actually blank the page; he archived it. There's a difference. (It was ill-advised and potentially disruptive, but it wasn't as bad as a blank.) —Steve Summit (talk) 05:35, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I missed that in the rush. --Vryl 05:37, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stalking and WP:NPA

Please do not post content to my talk page unless its related to an article. I have also noticed you have been following me around the site and posting WP:NPA. I cannot control what another editor on the site does or posts, but I would like you to stay away from my user talk page unless its content related topics. Waya sahoni 05:05, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please disregard the above warning. It is a spurious attempt by a proven sockpuppet. I can personally attest to the fact that he is indeed not stalking anybody. --BWD (talk) 05:17, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I don't have any problem with what Jeff said above. Well the first sentence anyway. It's his talk page, I don't have to engage him in things that he doesn't want be engaged in, if they don't relate to Wikipedia. Otherwise, especially if the person has asked not to be bothered, then it *is* stalking. Or harrassment. --Vryl 05:23, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Me v. Hawny

Indeed, your proof is conclusive. I just didn't see it before I posted it. Thanks! --BWD (talk) 13:07, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are named in an ARBCOM Proceeding regarding Jeffrey Vernon Merkey Article

See WP:ARBCOM for the details. Waya sahoni 04:10, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This will be fun. What's it over, Jeff. Still want to clean your page of all the stupid things you have said over the years? --Vryl 04:31, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: armcom request

The arbcom request is located here. It's certainly going to be rejected because it's malformed and obviously vindictive. He's doing more to harm his cause than help it. --BWD (talk) 04:49, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers! It's too funny, ain't it? I wish him good luck with this. I don't think I have to do anything now that I have seen how badly he has made his case. And just when I thought a few days of quiet had seen this all die down... oh well... --Vryl 04:54, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd suggest you cease reverting at Jeffrey Vernon Merkey until the Arb Com has had a chance to look at it (and accept and complete, or deny the request). NSLE (T+C) at 08:24 UTC (2006-03-14)

Re: SCPS

SCPS is notable because it is one of the best private schools in Chatham County (it was the best in terms of average SAT score). It has been mentioned thousands of times in the press. --BWD (talk) 18:47, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok... I have just been reading policy stuff lately (for one reason or another that you may be able to guess!), and 'elementary schools' were listed as a classic example of not really notable. I guess everyone wants to put their school in the wiki. I spose you would want to cite some press then.
Ok, so it wasn't a policy page: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Deletionism --Vryl 19:02, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
SCPS is also a highschool. It also has a lot to do with the culture of Savannah, along with Benedictine Military School. Savannah's schools are highly segregated between the mainly black public schools and the predominately white private schools. For this reason, Savannah is home to many notable and respected private schools. That article is left as a stub because I've been working on a lot of other Georgia-related topics. --BWD (talk) 19:05, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I am tending towards this philosophy: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Inclusionism
To me, almost by definition, if someone has put something in the wiki, then it is notable, at least to them. Electrons are cheap, why should we worry too much. You can't 'fill up' the wiki. There is always more space.
I'm an inclusionist myself, specifically when it comes to institutions of learning. Many institutions have a large impact on the community they are in and they develop their own culture. I think it's important to document that phenomenon. --BWD (talk) 19:28, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

JVM POV

Sorry about the way Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration#Waya sahoni and WP:RS vs. SCOX and Linux Community Editors turned out. That was certainly not my intention. —Steve Summit (talk) 02:14, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't quite get what you mean? Waya/Jeff using your point about the article?

Just that. —Steve Summit (talk) 03:39, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Or something else? Jeff is nuts, as everyone knows, and this is his typical behaviour. Many speculate that he is manic depressive or bi-polar or whatever the latest jargon is for his type. Basically, he goes nuts and makes all sorts of wild allegations (see the history of merkeylaw.com) and then sort of recants, or realizes how foolish he is being, or how bad it looks. Then waits a little while and it all starts up again. Which is probably why a lot of people want him banned from the wiki. Basically, experience has taught that you can't trust him, and it is unlikely in the extreme that he is reformed. --Vryl 02:19, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wadoli Itse - Possible JVM Sockpuppet

Apologies in advance to Wadoli should this turn out to be misconstrued.

It's just that there seems to be a Superman/Clark kent style of relationship. Wadoli is only seen when Waya is away. And they have such similar interests.

Also, I asked Jeff/Waya this q, and he refused to deny it, only indirectly referring to the question as 'nonsense' and removing it from his page:

  2. (cur) (last) 09:32, March 17, 2006 Vryl (Are you Wadoli Itse?)
    --Vryl 02:39, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fairly convincingly denied by Wadoli on his/her talk page. We shall wait and see... --Vryl 08:00, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It seems you focused the interest of Waya sahoni on my humble self. Shortly after I wrote on my Talk page about how worried I am about him becoming the chief editor of Cherokee artticles, he deleted the list of them from his User page. Coincidence? Who knows. Wadoli Itse 07:59, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was just putting your denial in, when it edit-conflicted with what you were doing. --Vryl 08:01, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vryl: just to let you know that I had noticed this new User as well.

Since "Waya sahoni" is an expert in the Cherokee language, it might be interesting to ask him what (if anything) "Wadoli Itse" means... -- talks_to_birds 17:50, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Did you ask him? He seemed to have a funny idea about the meaning. I wonder why it occured to him only after I suggested he should not be unblocked. Well, in fact I don't. BTW, why does everybody assume my name is Cherokee? Wadoli Itse 14:56, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

George,

Jeff Merkey is indeed a citizen of the Cherokee nation. He is a gifted pioneer in computer operating system development and donated one of his open source systems to the Cherokee nation. He is a dear friend of mine and cares deeply about the Cherokee nation and his people.

I am curious who or why he was moved from the listing of famous Cherokee to controversial Cherokee. Anyone who was one of the original authors of the novell operating system is a famous Cherokee in my book.

Thanks for the e-mail
