The 2012 Belmont Stakes will be the 144th running of the Belmont Stakes[1] and will be broadcasted in the United States by NBC. The post time is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. EDT (10:35 p.m. UTC).

I'll Have Another will attempt to become the twelfth Triple Crown winner after becoming the 33rd horse to win the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes double. The field was announced on June 6, 2012.[2]

Field

The winner of the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, I'll Have Another, was declared in the race. Dullahan third in the Kentucky Derby and Union Rags sixth in the same race were also declared. Optimizer was eleventh in the Derby and sixth in the Preakness Stakes.
