Joan Rodriguez (born July 11, 1988), better known by her stage name Joan Smalls, is a Puerto Rican fashion model. She is well known as a frequent model for Vogue.[2] She was featured alongside Bruno Mars in the June 2011 edition of Vogue. Joan has appeared in campaigns for Gucci, Lacoste, Gap, H&M, Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli, Giambattista Valli, Chanel, Calvin Klein, rag & bone, David Yurman, Barneys New York, Estee Lauder, and Stella McCartney. She has appeared in editorials for American, Australian, Italian, British, German, Spanish, French, and Japanese Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, i-D, Dazed & Confused, American and Spanish V Magazine, and W Magazine. She has been on the covers of Australian and Italian Vogue, British Elle, i-D, and V Magazine. She is currently ranked the #2 model in the world according to models.com. [3] In 2010, she started modeling with Victoria's Secret and appeared in their 2011 fashion show.
