The Economic Times is the daily business newspaper of the Times Group, owners of the Times of India. The Economic Times is has its offices in Mumbai outside Victoria Terminus railway station. Its main content is based on the Indian economy, share prices, prices of commodities as well as other matters related to finance. The Founder / Editor of the paper when it was launched in 1961 was P.S. Hariharan.

The Economic Times is characterised by its salmon-pink paper, all of which is recycled. It is also the favourite newspaper among the city's business houses. It is sold in Bombay, India, and all the major cities of India. The color of the paper is probably a carry-over from India's colonial days and an attempt to mirror The Financial Times of the UK.
