Annapurna International School of Film and Media is one of the largest film schools of India. Its India’s first private, non-profit media school. The institute is promoted by The generous Akkineni family Akkineni Nagarjuna & Akkineni Nageswara Rao (the school’s primary backers) and management. AISFM is located in Hyderabad, India. AISFM’s is evolving as one of the finest film-institutes in India,is on the grounds of a major film studio in Hyderabad, set-up a film fund to produce commercial films using the school’s own students and faculty as cast and crew and drawn some of the biggest names in cinema as teachers and academic advisors.AISFM offers acting, directing,cinematography,editing, writing and producing. AISFM is located in enormous studio, students have unprecedented access to producing their own student films in world-class sound stages and controlled locations also students have the chance to see professional films being shot on a daily basis. AISFM is associated with popular filmmakers, actors and directors such as Farah Khan,Karan Johar, Hema Malini, Mani Ratnam,Kamal Haasan, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmiand Aparna Sen, who provide valuable inputs.

About Annapurna Studios
Annapurna Studios is an independent film and television production house and can proudly be put amongst the most dynamic studios in India. It was set up in 1975 contributing immensely to the shift of Telugu Film Industry to Hyderabad from Chennai with a view to cater to the ever expanding regional film industry . The studio has the diversity to accommodate full-length feature films, special events (such as Film events / previews and Launch ceremonies) commercials, music videos, still shoots and other projects. Having produced over 40 feature films, it has recently ventured into content creation for Television. Its post-production facilities include State of the Art Editing, Dubbing and 4K real time DI facilities, with proficient technicians delivering the best in the industry. Spread across 22 Acres, Annapurna Studios showcases itself as a technically advanced and integrated film & media hub. Being centrally located at Banjara Hills,Hyderabad, India, in close proximity to all major hotels and infrastructure, it is the "Filmmakers destination of choice". Recently Annapurna Studios, promoted has invested Rs 100 crore in set up a state-of-the art climate controlled movie production studios at Hyderabad.Not only will the producer find it economical, but would also be able to conceive and create the movie all under one roof.The new studio combines with its 22 acre studio has shooting floors built alongside is fully equipped with editing suites and digital interface facilities.The Indian film industry is estimated to grow from Rs 83 billion to Rs 132 billion by 2015, according to a KPMG-FICCI report. In its past avatar, the studio has produced 40 motion pictures and other infomercials and television serials.The post-production facilities include state-of-the-art editing, dubbing, animation, computer graphics (CG), digital interface and sound mixing rooms, so-much-so, a film could be made right from the concept to the release stage without the need for going out of the studio.Annapurna Studios is among India's foremost motion picture and television production studios apart from Anil Ambani's Reliance MediaWorks that were set up to bridge creative differences among moviemakers in the orient and the occident and make more interesting results on the screen.[1]

Academics
On 20th June 2012, Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University.Students can earn Government recognised degree, while receiving technical training in various aspects of film and media like. The MoU is for a period of four years. Mr Akkineni Nagarjuna told newspersons that students can gain technical film and media skills as part of a recognised degree.The country has premier institutes offering diploma courses in filmmaking but AISFM, has become the first to offer Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. Until today, film and media students only had access to certificate and diploma courses.[2]
