Not a Forum

Wikipedia is not a forum (see wikipedia:not) for you to advertise yourself or your likes/dislikes. If you want to share your favorite cards or tell others of your deck editing, make or join a forum somewhere else. I have deleted your comments; they may be found in the page history. Discontinued?

was it really discontinued? game stores around here still sell it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.69.86.114 (talk) 15:18, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discontinued means they are no longer printing the cards, but they could still be selling off the cards already printed. As for whether it is true that the game is discontinued, I don't know, I don't follow this game. Mathman1550 (talk) 21:26, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll answer:

Unfortunately it was discontinued, and if you notice, they sell them for 99 cents each most of the time, and most of them are in clearence boxes. I love duelmasters but I have to move on with out getting more.

hi,

i have a big problem with this wiki page, in example with the link section because somebody or some script deletes always my forum link that i contribute. it is a fan made forum, it is even more important than the ccgdb link, but it is always deleted when i post it. here is the link, and i demand, that wikipedia crew allows the link to stay at the duel masters wiki page. so please act NOW, i want a positive result in an appropriate time.

I had a look at Yu-gi-oh! and found no fan-made sites in the External Links there, so I'm guessing Wikipedia doesn't like being used to advertise fan sites. Could someone other than the guy above me please clear this up? Phoenix (talk) 20:14, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikia

Why was the edit for "[http://duelmasters.wikia.com Duel Masters Wikia] A Duel Masters TV Wikia and TCG/OCG card database" reverted ? although allowed on the Duel Masters page, and for the Yugioh page? 124.180.93.181 (talk) 16:02, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

unfair publication

I don't know why does the wikipedia users don't allow me uploading images of the brand and cards? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.127.236.51 (talk) 17:55, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank god

For the wiki link, or any serious player would be screwed, this page has so much bias about what to use, not to mention many bad translations that arent used by any other site that wont be corrected. 124.181.125.81 (talk) 19:23, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blatant plagiarism

Large chunks of the article are blatant plagiarisms of the game's wikia, especially the [Card Mechanics] page. What's worse, some of the plagiarized text is complete gibberish: "Reveal the top three cards of your Deck. If one of those is a creature, put the evolution creature into the battle zone on top of the chosen creature from the three. Rest two of the three cards are put to graveyard afterwards."

I fixed a lot of this mess, including the one I just quoted, but it and most of the rest refer to things that came in after I quit playing so I simply don't know what they're supposed to say. I used a comment to flag the worst spot I found (the Card Mechanics section), but it looked to me like most of the article past the opening is simply copypastaed from the wikia, so it's possible that nothing short of a complete rewrite will fix it.

Also, every reference link was untitled, so I spent a lot of time tracking them down. I think I got about half of them, but I suffer from chronic pain and hit my limit and then some, so I quit. Some of them are to WotC's site for the game, but it no longer exists. If you try to force it by clicking "Duel Masters" in the "Products" dropdown, it simply redirects you to the game's Japanese site. Most of the other links are to the plagiarized wikia, so I don't know if they even count as legitimate sources.

I may be back after some sleep to further repair this mess of an article, but I doubt it since my body has very little typing stamina each day and I think I've spent all I'm going to on this article. Hopefully it matters to someone else at least as much as it does to me so the work it so desperately needs will be completed soon. --Kitsunegami (talk) 10:53, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

At one point, I had actually added and cleaned up a lot of the card mechanics listed...but I see in later edits, a giant mess of the page was made. I'm not even sure how some of those bad translations ever happened, as the text you quoted above that made no sense would have never been used, and makes no sense from a gameplay standard either. I know that from writing the page in many different stages over 4 years now, as well as very in-depth translating and cleaning. Yami Michael (talk) 14:20, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
