Stefano Marzano

Stefano Marzano, born 1950, is an Italian industrial designer. He is Chief Design Officer in Electrolux since 2012.

Before joining Electrolux, Stefano Marzano served as Chief Design Officer in Philips between 1991-2011.

Marzano holds a Doctorate in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano. Until 1998 he was a Professor at the Domus Academy in Milan, and a member of the Academy’s Strategic Board. In 1999-2001 he was a Visiting Professor at the Politecnico di Milano. Marzano is also the author and editor of several books on design.

Marzano is a member of the European Design Leadership Board. He is an adviser to several design schools around the world, and for example is Founding Dean of THNK, The Amsterdam School of Creative Leadership.[1]

In 2005, Businessweek named Marzano one of four global “Best Leaders: Innovators.” [2] In 2001 he was awarded the World Technology Award for Design by the World Technology Network. He has also received honorary doctorates in design from the Sapienza University of Rome and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

In his role as Chief Design Officer, Marzano is a part of Electrolux Group Management.[3]
