Brafield-on-the-Green is a civil parish and small village in South Northamptonshire.

Location

Brafield is about 4 miles (6.4 km) south-east of Northampton, in the shire county of Northamptonshire[3] known as "Northants" along the A428 road about 16 miles (26 km) north-west of Bedford.

Facilities

Brafield hosted speedway and stock car meetings at the local stadium. The team known as the Flying Foxes took part in the Southern Area League in 1954. The team were known as The Badgers when open meetings were staged in 1967.[citation needed]As early as 1949, local entrepreneurs staged midget car racing at the stadium, as part of a national attempt to introduce the sport from the US.
