Anderson-Shiro Consolidated Independent School District is a public school district based in Anderson, Texas (USA).
In addition to Anderson, the district also serves the community of Shiro as well as rural areas in central Grimes County.
The district has two campuses - Anderson-Shiro Jr./Sr. High (Grades 6-12) and Anderson-Shiro Elementary (Grades PK-5).
In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[3]
Finances
As of the 2010-2011 school year, the appraised valuation of property in the district was $449,666,000.[1] The maintenance tax rate was $0.104 and the bond tax rate was $0.039 per $100 of appraised valuation.[1]
