India at the 2012 Summer Olympics

India is scheduled to take part in the 2012 Summer Olympics to be held in London from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The Indian government plans to spend over ₹ 250 crores in preparing for the games, including around ₹ 20 crores on foreign coaches for various events.[1] Ajit Pal Singh has been named the chef de mission of the Indian contingent by the IOA. India will send an 83-member athlete team to London; this will be India's largest contingent ever at the games.[2]
In India you can, the live telecast of all the 2012 London Olympic events in which Indian athletes are competing will be shown on Doordarshan (DD) and ESPN Star Sports.[3]
