Inaccuracies

  • While the show had almost all sequences with theropods with non-pronated hands, the Eoraptor juvenile, Ornitholestes, and Jack Palance the T-Rex, have some scens where they pronate their hands very briefly.
  • The mosasaur is lacking a tail fluke.
  • The behaviour portrayed with some dinosaurs, and the Anhanguera and Mosasaur is very questionable and unrealistic.
  • Ornitholestes is depicted without feathers.
  • Ornitholestes is inaccuratley depicted in Portugal while only fossils of them are found in North America.
  • Protoceratops and Triceratops are depicted with two more front digits than in life.
  • Volaticotherium is unlikely to be agile enough to catch insects in the air.
  • The skunk like spray the Castorocauda used is not based on any fossil evidence.
  • The fin like structure on the tail of the female Eoraptors are completely speculatiive.
  • Some animals act like humans, which is highly inaccurate.
  • The Rhamphorhynchus is likely nocturnal, unlike the show.
  • Tyrannosaurus is likely to have feathers, but is depicted without them.

Improvments

  • There is no misplaced wildlife.
  • Plateosaurus is strictly bipedal and in Europe.
  • Pretty much everything else.

Inaccuracies

This is the most accurate dinosaur documentary ever made, but only one inaccuracy is seen.

  • T-Rex adults are seen without feathers, but it isn't considered an inaccuracy, as there is no physicsl evidence for feathers on adult T-Rexes.
