Daniel Downing (born 12 Dec 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Blackburn Rovers in The Championship. He is known for his explosive pace and his eye for goal.

Dniel was born in Telford and played youth football with Blackburn Rovers Academy before starting his professional career with Blackburn Rovers. Template is the all-time leading goal scorer in The Championship. He has pledged his future with the club and signed a new 10 year contract. The manager of Blackburn Rovers, Steve Kean later added: Daniel is a fantastic player, committed and extremely skilful, He has outstanding work ethic and a credit for our football team.
