Australia women's national lacrosse team

The Australia women's national lacrosse team represents Australia at women's lacrosse. It is governed by Australian Lacrosse Association. They are currently ranked 2nd in the world, narrowly behind United States. [1] They have won the Women's Lacrosse World Cups twice, and were runners-up 4 times. In the inaugural FIL Women’s World Cup in July of 2009, the United States reclaimed the gold by winning a tightly contested final match-up over rival Australia 8-7 in Hanover, Germany. [2] The team are now preparing for the 2013 FIL Women's Lacrosse World Cup, which will be held in Oshawa, Canada.
