The Box Tree Moth (Cydalima perspectalis) is a species of moth of the Crambidae family. It is native to eastern Asia (Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea). It is an introduced species in Europe, where it has now been recorded from Austria[1], Slovakia, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands[2] and Belgium.[3]

The wingspan is 40-45 mm. There are two or three generations per year with adults on wing from April/May to September.

The larvae feed on the leaves and shoots of Buxus species. The species overwinters as an egg.
