A fact from Jade Jones (taekwondo) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 8 August 2012 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:

Word choice
Is Wikipedia a place for terms like "and since then she has fallen in love with the sport" I don't think so, and want to remove this language, but don't know how to fill in the holes... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.26.104.63 (talk) 03:15, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
repetitive sections
the medal sections are redundant -- one should be trimmed (or deleted).--Epeefleche (talk) 07:29, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
Nationality
For any biased users who undo people's edits (*cough* Trident13 *cough*) who doesn't think her nationality shouldn't be listed as British just go ahead and look at the search engine information of her OWN website (jadejones.co.uk) and I quote: "Jade Jones is a British Tae Kwon Do athlete from Wales, hoping to win gold at the London Olympics 2012." source: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=jade+jones (82.44.72.174 (talk) 19:08, 10 August 2012 (UTC))
- So why did you say she was "British Welsh"? I've changed the text to match what Jones herself says. And I've removed the entirely pointless links to UK, London, Russia etc... (please don't link common geographical terms). I've also fixed up a couple of incomplete references and their placement. Cheers! The Rambling Man (talk) 19:43, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, sorry, I just undid the original re-edit which said she was only Welsh, I didn't do anything else. Cheers! (82.44.72.174 (talk) 19:46, 10 August 2012 (UTC))
- She is regarded as a Welsh athlete, just as every other Welsh athlete who has represented Team GB in an Olympic games is listed on wikipedia (Colin Jackson, Dai Greene, Nicole Cooke, Tanni Grey-Thompson, Geraint Thomas, Cecil Griffiths, John Ainsworth-Davis, Ryan Giggs, etc). This issue seems to be constantly raising it's ugly head, and for the sake of consistency, please refrain from deviating away from the agreed protocols.Aldwynson (talk) 19:52, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- The only reason they are being listed as Welsh is because of people like you, who go around patrolling the aforementioned articles undoing edits with no explanation whatsoever, even if the evidence says otherwise. She's listed herself as a British athlete on her own website for crying out loud! What's your explanation for that then? (82.44.72.174 (talk) 20:02, 10 August 2012 (UTC))
