Briony McRoberts
Briony McRoberts, (born Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England, 10 February 1957), is a British actress.
On television, she played 'Tessa Kilpin' in Episode 057 (05.11) 'No Stone' of The Professionals,[1] and has also appeared in The Bill, Heartbeat, EastEnders, Taggart, and Diamonds. She had a regular role in the Scottish soap Take the High Road for STV from 1990-1999. In 1976 she played Wendy Darling in a musical adaptation of J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan starring Mia Farrow and Danny Kaye on NBC's Hallmark Hall of Fame.
In film, she played Margo Fassbender in The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976) where she had to endure the scene of being tied to a chair whilst her capture run his clawed gloved hand down the blackboard, resulting in spine-tingling reaction from Margo Fassbender.[2]
On stage, she has made many appearances in the West End and the regions including playing Wendy Darling in J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan at the Shaftesbury Theatre in 1980, the musical 'Maggie', also at the Shaftesbury Theatre in 1978 and Charley's Aunt at the Aldwych Theatre in 1983. She also performed this role on television in a now-forgotten musical version by Leslie Bricusse in 1976.
She is married to actor David Robb.
