Johan Neerman famous belgian architect, industrial designer,system thinker.
Biography
Son of Philippe Neerman, Johan Neerman grew up in an industrial design's world, where art and quality are part of his daily life. Johan Neerman studied architecture at the ISAVH (Institut Supérieur d'Architecture Victor Horta) in Brussels (1980-1985) where he graduated with the highest Honors.
He made a thesis on applied system theory with Doctor Professor and ergonome Paul Tahon.
He travelled to China, Japan and Southern Africa during his studies and became very interested in vernacular architecture and world global issues.
He joined the Kiyoniri Kikutake's office in ^Tokyo (1985 -1986)
He then joined the army and went to to the USA and joined the department of Architecture with Peter Mc leary as Chairman and transfered to the Wharton buisness school in the Ph.D department of Social Systems Sciences under the guidance of Professor Hasan Ozbekhan. (1987-1992) He focused during these years on Chaos theory and associated the institut
Solvay with Michèle Sanglier and Ilya Prigogine Nobel price of chemistry at the ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) to his research.
Johan Neerman lectured applied system thinking in several universities and was nomitead Professor at the Academy of fine arts in Minsk Biellorussia in 2000. He worked with IDPO Ph Neerman from 1992-1999 on numerous public transports systems and architectural projects and created Neerman Consulting 1999-2006. In 2011 Johan Neerman created NGM (Neerman Green Mobility) and JOHANSON3 SA.
