Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Template:Lang-hi, Template:Lang-eng) is an Indian television drama series that airs on STAR Plus. The series premiered on May 3, 2010 and is based on the lives of two cousins post marriage.
Plot
Saath Nibhana Saathiya is set within a Gujarati family background. It is based on the saas-bahu(mother-in-law and daughter-in-law) relationship, retold through the point of view of Gopi and her cousin, Rashi. It begins with Kokila Modi's search for the perfect wife for her son, Aham. She wants a naive young woman for her son and chooses Gopi over the sly and underhanded Rashi. Aham leaves his girlfriend for his mother's choice, not realising that the one his mother chose is illiterate. There are many problems in their relationship.
Rashi and Urmila cheat the family and get Rashi married to Jigar. Rashi makes many mistakes and gets yelled at by Kokila. Aham thinks Gopi has lied about being illiterate and hates her. But slowly and gradually Aham starts loving Gopi. Gopi gets pregnant and Aham accepts her. Even Jigar and Rashi are closer than before.
