Koffee with Anu is a Tamil talk show, which airs on STAR Vijay. The show, based on the Hindi version, Koffee with Karan hosted by Karan Johar, is hosted by Anu Hasan. The show was initially known as Koffee with Suchi .
About the Show
The show is noted for its fresh and witty appeal and is very popular with the younger audiences. The show began airing in 2006 and was a huge success because of the then host Suchi. Suchi, who started as a radio jockey, is famous for her unique voice and immense talent as a talkshow host. The first episode aired on September 20, 2006. The show is now hosted by Anu Hasan, niece of actor Kamal Haasan, who appeared in the film Indira directed by her cousin Suhasini.[1]
The show brings together celebrities who are interviewed in the show's trademark informal style. The show has many sections such as a "rapid fire" round in which a volley of questions are thrown at the celebrity who has to come up with answers off the top of their head sometimes with hilarious results. The winner receives a coffee hamper. Sometimes the show includes opinions from members of the public and other celebrities who have co-starred with the guests.
There has also been some filler programs, featuring mainly movie promos and hosted by other presenters on Pongal and Diwali, which have not proved popular with audiences.
