Balázs Megyeri (born 31 March 1990 in Budapest) is a Hungarian football player who currently plays for Olympiacos[1] as a goalkeeper.

Career

Ferencvárosi TC

Megyeri began his career with Ferencvárosi TC and played a short time on youthside for Bristol City, befored turned back to Ferencvárosi TC.[2]

On 23 August 2009, he began a short trial with Hertha BSC Berlin.[3]

Olympiacos F.C.

In June 2010, he signed a three-year contract with Olympiacos.[1][4]
He took part in the international match "8th Match Against Poverty", in 14 December 2010, in G. Karaiskakis Stadium in Greece, as the Olympiacos All Star team's goalkeeper.
He made his debut in a match against Kavala F.C. in a 3–1 win for Olympiacos in G. Karaiskakis Stadium. His first year in Piraeus was successful, having 3 good appearances as the third goalkeeper. Both the team and the fans claim that Olympiacos can count on Balazs for the future. When Antonis Nikopolidis retired, and Urko Pardo left the team, Franco Costanzo was signed as the new first-choice goalkeeper, with Megyeri behind him, but due to his bad appearances, Megyeri has started in goal for all of Olympiacos's latest matches, having a lot of clean sheats during the 2011–12 season. He has continued to start in goal consistently despite the acquisition of Roy Carroll.
