Yevno Azef (Evno Fishelevich Azef) (1869-1918), organiser of the Fighting Organisation of the Socialist-Revolutionary Party, which was resposible for the most spectacular assassinations of imperial officials in 1904 and 1905, latter turned out to be playing the double role of terrorist and police agent(1908). He was exposed by the persistent investigations of Vladimir Burtsev and result was a resounding scandal.
