Appearance
CSX Transportation is a major railroad freight company in the United States. It was formed in 1980 by the merger of the Chessie System Railway and the Seaboard System Railroad, and serves many of the eastern U.S. states (with a few routes into nearby Canadian cities). On June 6, 1998, CSX and Norfolk Southern jointly acquired the assets of Conrail.
A CSX subsidiary owns The Greenbrier, one of the most luxurious and historic resorts in the U.S.
