- August, 2113: First time Pluto reaches aphelion since its discovery.[3]

- "It's Such a Beautiful Day" by Isaac Asimov is set in 2117.[6]
- In WALL-E Directive A113 was secretly sent to the autopilots of the starliners to keep humanity in space due to rising toxicity levels.
- The lyrics to the song "2112" by rock band Rush take place in 2112. The album is also named 2112.
- In Planet Comics #36 it is mentioned that the three children were put into suspended animation in 2110.[citation needed]
