Lingda
Lingda is a Village in Gujarat , India . Wich is located on Nadiad - Dalkor road . The name of Lingda was driven from temple of Lord Shiva , which name is લીંગડાShree Shidhhanath Mahadev . Gujarati characters of Lingda is " લીંગડા "
GEOGRAPHICAL: Lingda Village located at North Latitudes 22°41'19" and East Longitude 73°4'24", and on Nadiad - Dakor - Ghodhara Highway No. 22 - known as "Vikas Path", 4 km away from the Umreth Town (The Silk Nagari), 11 km from Dakor (Temple of Lord Krisna), 19 km from NHI-8 and from Anand (The Milk City), and 22 km from Nadiad.
We have to main entrance to enter in lingda. more than 15 big and small ponds around village which is use full to agriculture. Here is Main Canal of " Mahi sichai " as well as many sub canal diverts from it which covers more than 75% of agriculture land.
POPULATION & OCCUPATION :
Total population of village Lingda is of 4000. Here resides all sorts of races and casts like Brahmin, Baniya, Marwadi, Patidar, Muslims, Suthar, Valands, Luhar, Soni, Darji, Kumbhar, Mochi, Vankar, Christian, Harijans, etc. Since last few years Adiwasi starts to come to our village as labourers, field workers and today some of them are settled in Lingda.
Main occupation of the people from Lingda is Agriculture and animal husbandry like 80%, 10% performing Service in privet as well as government Sectors and remaining 10% Doing their own business. Main agricultural crop is paddy and tobacco, wheat, groundnuts,. Besides that we are planting banana, potatoes, Flowers, and vegetables. In animal husbandry we have cows, buffalos, and bullocks as main. We also Have poultry farm, Some of Some people also have got, Camel.
