Rock The Post is a crowdfunding site for entrepreneurs and small businesses[3]. The community invites entrepreneurs with unique projects to receive funding through a network of like-minded individuals. The platform fosters a fertile culture of innovators and a community of entrepreneurs who are making advancements that enhance life.

Rock the Post was named the third best digital tool for entrepreneurs in 2012 by Forbes.com[4].

About Rock The Post

Rock The Post was founded by Alejandro Cremades and Tanya Prive, who came up with the idea while on a trip.[5] Their goal was to help entrepreneurs, including those without strong business connections. The site allows investments of time, money and/or materials to be made into a startup company.

The site is open to anyone, so it is possible to receive large or small investments. Users can follow each other in order to keep track of projects and "like" each other's posts, which allows them to save it to a section of their account called "My Favorite Posts."

Rock The Post includes sample legal agreements to help its users, which are provided in Word format. The site is broken down into those looking for investors of money, investors of time and investors of materials, as well as those looking to pledge each of those three items.

Rock The Post received $700,000 in seed money from a group of angel investors in February 2012.[6]

Accolades and News Coverage

Rock The Post was ranked as the third best digital tool for entrepreneurs in 2012 by Forbes.com.[4] It was also recognized as the third hottest startup to watch in New York City by Business Insider,[7] and the Wall Street Journal's Market Watch named it in an article about how to get involved in crowd funding.[8]

Alejandro Cremades was also cited in an article by Fast Company stating that money raised through crowdfunding is going towards businesses that are built to last. As the article states, for Rock The Post crowdfunding is not about funding your friends artisanal wrapping paper, it is about saving the U.S. economy[9].
