Florent Nédélec is a French architect. His designs have often a minimal, simple and pure appearance with a lot of richness into the texture of their facades.

Biography

Mr. Florent Nédélec studied Architecture in France and the United States and graduated with a “Diplôme d’Architecte DPLG” from the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-La Villette in Paris, France and a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. He acquired extensive experience with some of the most famous architectural firms in the world, including two founded by Pritzker Prize winners: Atelier Jean Nouvel and Pei Cobb Freed & Partners Architects LLP, formely known as I.M. Pei & Partners. He later became a Principal of the New York Architectural Firm Frank Williams & Partners Architects LLP to work on multiple high-rise buildings in New York, Dubai and Moscow. Mr. Florent Nédélec is a registered architect with “l’Ordre des architectes d’Île-de-France” in Paris, France.

Practice

The design approach of his firm begins with a deep understanding and analysis of the program in relation to the context, typology, schedule and cost of the project. The design strategy is to establish aesthetic harmony through minimalism. His aims are to uncover the obvious and to create with simple means a series of architectural experiences that are powerful, pragmatic and poetic.
