Timperley is a village in England immediately north of Altrincham. It is 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Manchester and connected to it via the Manchester Metrolink tram service. Timperley is notable for being the home of bizarre fictional comedian Frank Sidebottom, as well as the childhood home of The Stone Roses founders Ian Brown and John Squire. It is also known for giving its name to a variety of rhubarb – 'Timperley Early' a.k.a. Baguley Beef.

The name Timperley comes from Timber Lea, which means "clearing in a wood".
