Venkatagiri Kota is a small town in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

Geography

Venkatagirikota is located at 13°00′00″N 78°30′00″E / 13.0000°N 78.5000°E / 13.0000; 78.5000.[1] It has an average elevation of 697 meters (2290 feet) above sea level. Venkatagiri Kota (also known as V-Kota) is a small town in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradhesh.

Features

The road leading to Gudiyattam and Vellore in Tamil Nadu is a beautiful stretch, the road descends from the Deccan Plateau to the plains of Tamil Nadu. One can actually feel the difference in temperatures; in winter the weather is cool in summers the weather is hot. V.Kota receives high rainfall from both south west and north east monsoons.

This place is at junction of three states Andhrapradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and well known for its vegetable, flower markets, business centers. V.Kota town mainly streches along the national highway. People here almost can speak three languages Telugu, Tamil, Kannada fluently. More number of farmers received best farmer awards by the government. The soil is different from area to area. Generally cross cousin marriages are performed in this area. One can see a complete Dravidian culture here.
