Lee Vandervis is a local-body politician who was elected to the Dunedin City Council in the 2004 local elections. Vandervis has run for mayor in 2004, 2007, and 2010 coming in second place in 2007.

Vandervis has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Otago, and has worked as a music technician for many years. After working in the United Kingdom for several years he returned to Dunedin where he set up Vandervision Lighting Audio and Video in the early 1980s.[1]

Vandervis is currently the Chair of the Dundedin City Council Heritage Fund and the Heritage Buildings Re-use Committee.
