Star Wars: Episode VII is an upcoming sequel to Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi announced by The Walt Disney Company on October 30, 2012. The announcement was made on Disney's blog along with news of the acquisition of LucasFilm. No further details have been released besides an expected release date of 2015.[1][2] Disney also announced plans for two more sequels to be released in 2017 and 2019.
